Stunning views of Lake Windermere, beautifully maintained gardens, charming traditional design
Room maintenance tends to lag, heating problems impacted our comfort!!! Cleanliness left much to be desired with dirty carpets and poorly maintained amenities!!! The dining experience lacked variety and consistency!!!

Both lovable and frustrating
The views over the lake were breathtaking, and the hotel featured a stunning galleried landing with a Victorian stained glass roof. The service was genuinely friendly, enhancing the overall experience!
Despite the charm, some areas felt dated, and the dining options were limited. There were several delays in service that could have soured what should have been delightful meals.

We had a fantastic stay in our Windermere Feature room, which was super spacious with stunning views of the lake – the breakfast was delicious too, with so many options to choose from! The grounds were lovely for relaxing strolls and we enjoyed lounging on the sun terrace while soaking up the ambiance. Just a small hiccup with check-in being a bit crowded, but overall it was an amazing experience! 😊

I recently stayed in the Lakehouse Double for three nights. The views of the lake from my room were absolutely breathtaking. The location is truly a highlight, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were often friendly and ready to help, which made the experience more enjoyable. there were a few hiccups. Housekeeping didn’t consistently restock the complimentary water, and it became an inconvenience having to call for more every day. I found the dining options to be quite limited, especially for longer stays. the afternoon tea was decent but not impressive. The food could use a bit more variety to match the beautiful setting of the hotel. Bar prices felt a bit steep too. While the lake views were spectacular, the noise from the street behind the hotel was occasionally noticeable, especially from the lakeside rooms. It is somewhat challenging with reduced mobility, but for me, it wasn't an issue. The drive was being resurfaced during my stay, causing minor disruptions. Nonetheless, I still found the stay relaxing overall, and the immaculate cleanliness of the rooms made a great impression.
